Tyre Repairs
Do you have a flat tyre and are wondering if it could be repaired rather than having to buy a new one?
If so, bring it down to the GM Tyre Shop and we will evaluate it for you. Puncture repair is possible in some cases, and we have all the tools to carry it out on site if deemed safe by our expert tyre fitting team.
If not, you are certainly in the right place to find a replacement. Visiting a tyre shop in person, as opposed to mobile fitting, can save you a huge amount of time if it turns out a puncture can not be repaired.
Mobile tyre fitting vehicles may carry some new tyres, but if you simply call one out to repair a tyre and it is not possible, there is no guarantee that they will have the right tyre sizes or tyre type to suit your vehicle.
You will then need to get them back out to replace your tyres in the future. What a hassle!

When do I need New Tyres?
Tyres wear, that is the point of them. They protect your vehicle from taking the full brunt of the road beneath it and are designed to gradually wear down over time.
Some people choose to install winter tyres every year and have a couple of different sets in rotation, whilst others choose from our range of all season tyres and simply replace them once they have begun to show signs of wear.
It is recommended that you begin to compare tyres once your tread depth reaches around 3mm so you have plenty of time to find the perfect new set before your tyres come close to the legal minimum of 1.6mm.
You should always replace tyres in pairs (both front tyres or both rear tyres) if you are not replacing all four tyres at once.
If you see any signs of damage to your tyres such as bulges, or gouges in the tyre wall, do not attempt to drive the vehicle. This is a serious safety hazard and the tyres need to be replaced as soon as possible.
